Seriously, the way networksolutions.com is treading its customers is abhorrent.
After telling Network Solutions that I’d like to get the AUTH-CODE for my domain with them, for which they made me answer a lot of boring, superfluous questions, they tell me this:
Your request for an Auth Code has been received and your information will be validated to ensure the security of your account. If your request is approved, you will receive your Auth Code by email in 3 days.
To cancel this request, please call one of our Customer Service Representatives at 1-800-779-4903.

Guys, seriously? I am authorized; I’ve jumped through all your shady loops to get my domain off your shady service — and still you refuse to hand out me an Auth Code directly‽
This is a nothing short than a hostage situation; Network Solutions LLC is denying its customers to move their(!) domains off Network Solutions‘ domain of influence, using estabished FUD methods, and is holding the domain name(s) hostage without a legal reason to do so.
Any ISP doing business with Network Solutions is to be considered as an accomplice. This behaviour must be outlawed.
